On the list of Republicans who have done the most to damage our democracy, Mitch McConnell is right up there with Donald Trump and Bill Barr.
- He stole a U.S. Supreme Court appointment from President Obama
- He's refusing to provide adequate funding for safe elections
- He's refusing to adequately fund the U.S. Postal Service
- He's blocking H.R. 1, the bill that would combat partisan gerrymandering
- And he's blocking needed updates to the Voting Rights Act
Why is McConnell doing this? Because a conservative SCOTUS, gerrymandering, and voter suppression benefit his party. Just look at these manipulated districts from his home state of Kentucky:
But we're not letting Mitch get away with it. We launched a six-figure campaign to pressure McConnell to fund safe elections and we're working with our affiliates to demand that he protect the Postal Service. And in 2019, we took the fight right to Kentucky, where we helped flip the governor's office!
