If you stayed up late watching the Democratic National Convention last night, you’ve already heard Joe Biden’s incredible speech, as he officially accepted our party’s nomination as President of the United States!

It’s been an unbelievable week at the Democratic National Convention, with inspiring and rousing speeches and presentations from Michelle Obama, Speaker Pelosi, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and so many more of our incredible Presidential primary candidates, as well as many other remarkable people who are committed to moving this country forward with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

During Senator Harris’ acceptance speech on Wednesday, she reminded us of America's origin story. We are a country of diverse backgrounds, colors, and creeds, and one that does not leave anyone behind. Women of color and other marginalized communities deserve leaders who will fight for them and lift up their stories - and with her speech, she made clear that these are commitments our country will finally fulfill under a Biden/Harris administration.

And when Vice President Biden took the podium to accept his nomination last night, he shared his vision of a brighter future for America. He displayed the type of leadership, maturity, empathy, and solidarity that our country needs to recover from this pandemic and - as he says - “build back better” once the crisis has passed.

I'm feeling more energized and hopeful than ever in the direction our country is headed. These two champions embody the values of the Democratic Party, and they have what it takes to defeat Donald Trump and Mike Pence - especially with the support and enthusiasm of Americans around the country, including you and me. After this week, I know with absolute certainty that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will lead us forward and make our nation stronger — and I'm looking forward to working with them as President and Vice President.

Now, it's time that we, as Democrats, rally behind them and put the work in to get them elected.
