Team,
This year has been like no other — and that was true for the Democratic convention, too.
Times are tough, but as the son of immigrants, optimism runs in my DNA. I’m closing out the 2020 Democratic National Convention feeling inspired about our future.
We have the power to enact a progressive agenda for our country. But that will only happen if we send Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House and elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
It was great to share the virtual convention stage with Democrats from across the country.
I stopped by the Hispanic Caucus. I spoke at a virtual rally with Stacey Abrams about voter protection. I joined Speaker Nancy Pelosi to urge action on expanding healthcare and chatted with my fellow California Democrats about our 95+ lawsuits against Trump.
In each of these events, I felt inspired. These are tough times, but justice will prevail — if we work for it.
My father would always say, “if you can get up and go to work, it's a good day.” We have our work cut out for us, team, but if we do it — if we work hard, mobilize, and VOTE — good days will be ahead.
Onward to victory,
Xavier
