That does make some sense. In an office you can always crowd around the water cooler, but if you’re a remote worker you’re basically just left alone with your thoughts, especially if you live alone. What’s a good way to get out there in the world if you’re a remote worker?
I would imagine if you talked to men in the 1930’s during the Great Depression, they probably would have felt very similar. Now there’s more of an expectation of partnership with your spouse though
