Hi John, it’s Nancy Lacore.
After serving our country in the Navy for 35 years, Pete Hegseth removed me from my position.
Just like that, I was forced to go home and hang up my uniform. And now, it’s becoming painfully clear that I’m not the only one.
The New York Times just reported that Hegseth has blocked the promotions of multiple highly qualified Navy officers – including women and Black officers.
I know how it feels when our military and public institutions are used as political weapons. That’s why I can’t be silent while Hegseth goes after other officers like he went after me.
I’m running because public service should mean something: integrity, accountability, and standing up for what’s right, even when it’s difficult.
That’s the kind of leadership we deserve in Congress, John. And that’s why I’m running full-speed to flip SC-01 and take back control of the House.
