A brand-new public poll from the Bangor Daily News just came out late last night, and when Mainers’ ranked choices are counted, our campaign wins by a narrow margin.

Let me say that again: with four days left in this primary, this new public poll shows us winning!

Here’s what makes this so meaningful. The poll found our campaign is the strongest among Mainers who have already cast their ballots, leading the field by 10 points or more. Those aren’t projections or preferences. Those are real votes, already filling out ballots, breaking our way.

This is what momentum looks like. It’s what happens when hard work and a great campaign connects with the kind of leadership Mainers want from their next governor. Voters see what’s at stake in this election, and they are choosing our vision for the future.

And it comes on the heels of some of the biggest endorsements of this race. Just last week, Governor Janet Mills endorsed our campaign. That builds on support from Attorney General Aaron Frey, more than 120 legislators and mayors, health care and housing leaders, leading environmental organizations like the Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund, student groups, and Mainers in every corner of this state, even Stephen King! Ranked choice elections are about building big coalitions.

But a poll is not an election. To turn this momentum into a win, we have to stay on the airwaves and power up in every way possible our final get-out-the-vote program into full motion over these last four days. We will keep at it until the last polls close at 8pm. This final push takes resources, and every dollar helps our campaign turn out the voters we need to win.
