I know this is a holiday weekend, that you’re getting a lot of these emails, and you’re probably ready to spend it enjoying the end of the summer season, so I’ll make this quick.

Tonight at midnight is our August deadline, and I hate to say it, but this has been our hardest month of fundraising so far this year. But I know we can turn it around.

Congress is returning to DC soon, and I can promise you I’ll be going back with a strong determination to continue holding this reckless president accountable and passing the progressive solutions our communities need and deserve -- like expanding access to good healthcare, protecting communities from gun violence, and safeguarding our environment.

In addition to the “day job,” I’m also devoting my time and efforts to helping every one of our most vulnerable Democratic House members hold onto their seats, and flipping more red ones to blue in 2020.

With so much work to do, it would really help to know I have the resources to hold onto my House seat so I can keep fighting for people like you. Grassroots contributions like yours will allow me to focus on helping Democrats regain control of the Senate and White House, so that we can reclaim our country from Trump and the GOP’s dangerous agenda.
