I'm Josh Turek. I'm a Democratic state legislator who won a deep red seat, four-time Paralympian, and two-time gold medalist in wheelchair basketball.

I thought the feeling of winning my first gold medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics would only come once in a lifetime. But, then my race was called:

I'm officially the Democratic nominee for Iowa's open U.S. Senate seat.

Grassroots energy usually peaks in the first few days after a primary, so we have to get down to business ASAP. Will you help me make the most of our hard-fought victory by splitting a donation between my campaign and Martin Heinrich to become one of the first Founding Donors of my General Election campaign? I'm honored that the people of Iowa have put their faith in me, and I'm ready to take this once-in-a-generation shot to win this OPEN seat and be the champion working people deserve in Washington.

I got into this race because like millions of fellow Democrats, I was fed up with losing, fed up with treating “red” states like lost causes and tired of perpetually playing defense.

I won this primary because I played offense, and I'm going to run a relentless full-court press to win this seat in November.

I don't take a penny of corporate PAC money. Your support, and your support alone, will help us flip Iowa blue for the first time in more than a decade and take back the Senate Majority.

I'm personally asking you to become one of our first General Election Founding Donors by splitting a contribution of $15, $20, $35, or more today. Your contribution will power my voter outreach so I can flip Joni Ernst's Senate seat and restore hope and faith in the great state of Iowa. [[link removed]]

Look, I'm under no illusions about the work it'll take to win a battleground Senate race as a Democrat in Iowa. Taking on Joni Ernst, Ashley Hinson, and their billionaire-fueled MAGA Machine will be a beast of a challenge — physically, mentally, financially.

But I'm not your average career politician. I've won back-to-back victories in deep red Trump country. Polls show me either tied with or one point ahead of my official Republican opponent, Ashley Hinson.

This election will be a nail-biter, and it starts right now.

We have 150 days to bring independents and conservatives into our Prairie Populist coalition; to overcome over $40 million in spending from MAGA megadonors; and to let the world know that working-class Americans own the future.

Ads, statewide tours, and campaign infrastructure don't come cheap, and our campaign coffers are nearly empty after a hard-fought and high-cost primary victory.

The outcome of this race will decide the Senate majority with huge implications for our country, so my team and I need every single solitary ounce of support to hit the ground rolling. Will you rush a split contribution between Martin Heinrich and my campaign to become one of my first General Election Founding Donors in this high-stakes Senate race ASAP? [[link removed]]
