Team, yesterday, I marched at Boston Pride!

As the first openly lesbian elected governor in the country, I don't take moments like that for granted. I know what it means to grow up not seeing yourself in positions of leadership. And I know how much it matters when you finally do.

Every time I attend a Pride event, I think about the younger version of myself that was unsure of her place in the world. And I think about every kid out there who is watching, wondering if there's a place for them too.

There is. And as long as I'm Governor, I'm going to make sure they know it.

Here in Massachusetts, we've stood firm to protect the rights of LGBTQ+ families. We've made this state one of the best places to live, work, and raise a family — for everyone.
