Last night, we watched Joe Biden accept his nomination as the Democratic nominee for President with Vice President nominee Kamala Harris.
On the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment being ratified, I have never been more proud to see the first African American and South Asian woman nominated for Vice President.
This week, I had the honor of serving as Co-Chair of the California Delegation at the convention with Rep. Ro Khanna and Supervisor Hilda Solis. It was amazing to see people all over the country come together to virtually celebrate this profound moment in history. But now it’s time to get back to work.
Trump has worked to tear this country in two with his hate-filled rhetoric. And now, he’s clinging to his last hope of staying in power by destroying the US Postal Service ahead of the election just to suppress the vote.
From now until November, we must do everything we can to elect Joe and Kamala. We must organize, raise our voices in support, and VOTE like the soul of our nation depends on it — because it does.
