Pendley's been withdrawn, but he’s still not out

Friend,

If you love Nevada’s public lands as much as we do and follow the news about conservation policy, you may have heard that President Trump
withdrew William Perry Pendley’s nomination to lead the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) as Director of the agency. Pendley was outright unfit for the job. Not only has he spent his career advocating for the selling off of federal land to private interests, but he has made deeply disturbing, racist comments about Indigenous people and the Black Lives Matter movement.

But there’s just one problem: William Perry Pendley is still running the BLM as its acting director, and has been for nearly a year without a single congressional hearing. 🤦‍♂️ He needs to go.

Nevada Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen have rightfully opposed and spoken out against Pendley’s nomination. But now they both need to hear from you to make sure Pendley is sent packing for good. Our public lands are too precious to be managed by someone who has said, “The Founding Fathers intended all lands owned by the federal government to be sold.”

Add your name to tell our Senators that Pendley needs to “take a hike”, both for his own good, and for the betterment of the BLM’s mission to manage and protect all of our nation’s public lands, monuments, and outdoor spaces. Our public lands deserve better!

Thank you for all your help,

Will Pregman
Communications Director
