Trump has hacked away at the architecture of our democracy. He
has seized powers the Constitution reserves to Congress, openly
used his office to enrich himself and his billionaire friends,
deployed our military against peaceful protesters exercising
their Constitutional right to free speech -- and so much more. All

We are facing a clear and present danger. As President Obama
told us Wednesday night, we can't let them take our power and our
democracy away. The stakes are, plain and simple, defend
democracy or continue a slow descent into authoritarianism. In

grab -- but McConnell and Senate Republicans are working hard to
change that.
