Dear Friend,
Right now, on my desk, there are three active lawsuits.
Not because I broke the law. Not because I lied.
Because I pointed a camera at the wrong people — and they talked.
A former FBI agent who was working as a Pentagon contractor told our undercover journalist he was coordinating with retired generals to "explore what we can do" to "protect people from Trump." He got fired from Booz Allen the day we published. Now he's suing me.
A DOJ official sat across from our reporter on what he thought was a date — and admitted on camera that the government would redact Republican names from the Epstein files while leaving Democrats exposed. The DOJ scrambled to do damage control within hours. Now they want me silenced.
A State Farm vice president bragged about how the company orchestrates rate hikes and mocked wildfire victims — on hidden camera. He was terminated immediately. Now he's filed criminal eavesdropping charges against my reporter in Cook County, Illinois.
Let me be direct with you:
They don't sue you when you're wrong. They sue you when you're right and they can't make the tape go away.
I just released a short video that shows the full scope of what we're up against — and why we keep going. Watch it here:
In that video, you'll hear things that would stop most people cold. Board members at my former organization — the one I built from nothing — conspiring to destroy me. Lawyers I personally hired admitting on tape they wanted to assault me. Deposition testimony revealing that the very board members who fired me were co-investing in pharmaceutical companies that "could be sold to big Pharma, like Pfizer" — while we were actively investigating Pfizer.
And still, through all of that, we rebuilt. O'Keefe Media Group launched the day I walked out the door. And in two years, we have done more damage to the establishment than they ever thought possible.
That's why the lawsuits keep coming.
Here's what you need to understand: every one of these legal attacks is designed to do one thing — make the cost of truth so high that we stop pursuing it. That's the playbook. That's always been the playbook. Bury the journalist in legal fees until the cameras go dark.
I will never let that happen.
But I cannot do this alone.
Liberty Guard has established a legal defense fund specifically to keep us in the fight. Every dollar goes directly toward courtroom defense, investigative operations, and protecting the reporters who risk everything to bring you the truth.
Here's what your contribution makes possible:
$25 — Helps cover court filing costs and legal document preparation
$50 — Funds one hour of legal research for our active cases
$100 — Keeps an undercover investigation running for one additional day
$250 — Covers a portion of deposition preparation against one of our three active lawsuits
$500 — Directly funds First Amendment defense motions being filed right now
$1,000+ — Ensures our anti-SLAPP filing in D.C. — a case that could set nationwide precedent for undercover journalism — gets the resources it needs to win
The people we've exposed had power, access, and the protection of massive institutions. What they didn't have was the truth on their side.
We do.
And with your help, no amount of legal intimidation will silence us.
My price is my life — not money, not comfort.
Stand with me. In the fight,
James O'Keefe

P.S. The attorney behind the Pentagon contractor's lawsuit has publicly stated he is recruiting additional plaintiffs and planning more lawsuits against our organization. This is a coordinated legal campaign to shut down undercover journalism in America. Your donation today doesn't just defend me — it defends the right of every citizen journalist to hold the powerful accountable.
