The Senate Majority is within reach -- Nate Silver's FiveThrityEight says control of the Senate is a "toss up," and POLITICO says the race for the Majority is "too close to call."
Democrats only need to flip four seats to win back the Senate, and one of them is in Louisiana where Adrian Perkins is running to become the very first Black statewide elected official in Louisiana. If you can, will you split a contribution between Adrian's campaign and mine?
The grandson of sharecroppers and the son of a single mom, Adrian grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, served our country in the military during three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and in 2018, he was elected as mayor of Shreveport.
As mayor, Adrian has led Shreveport's response to the ongoing health crisis, and he's focused on criminal justice reform, combating racism and discrimination, and making sure working Louisianans have the support, resources, and opportunity to succeed.
We need more leaders like Adrian in the Senate. If you can chip in a few dollars today, please consider splitting a contribution between Adrian's campaign and mine.
With gratitude,
Sherrod
