We have an exciting update for Maricopa County voter registration numbers in the month of May.
Just in the month of May, Democrats in the county increased by 516 registered voters, while registered Republicans drastically fell by 1,772 registered voters.
This is great news!
The trend of Democrats closing the registration gap in the county keeps going, and ultimately throughout the whole state.
But it's not time to celebrate.
Democrats still rank third in voter registration statewide. We have to keep hitting the ground, meeting people where they are, and registering them to vote.
65% of Arizona's registered voters live in Maricopa County. We have to register voters here more than anywhere else if we want to close the voter registration gap statewide.
The Maricopa County Democratic Party is responsible for over 2.6 million voters, more than the total in 23 U.S. states, and 65 percent of Arizona’s voters.
