I just checked in with our campaign manager a few moments ago and she gave me a somewhat dire warning about the Republicans’ plans for our race in the coming days. Let me explain:
Our lead has shrunk in recent weeks as Mitch McConnell and Republican groups continue to outspend us 2:1.
Even worse? Outside GOP groups and our Republican opponent will likely dump millions more into our race to fund nasty attacks in the final weeks leading up to the election.
Our media tracking team says we’re about to be outspent by huge margins heading into September.
My campaign manager hopes to increase our TV and digital ad spending next week to combat these new attacks, but she’s concerned our campaign doesn’t have the resources to launch this new media buy.
But, I agreed to do it anyway. Because I believe this team has what it takes to pull together and raise the money in time.
We have to raise an additional $250,000 by midnight Sunday to fully fund our ad blitz and defend our campaign against the new wave of GOP attacks. That’s why I’m asking:
