John, I'm running for Senate to represent not only Texas values, but the values of people across the country: Strength, courage, independence, and putting families first. John Cornyn, my Republican opponent, hasn't represented these values for a long time, which is exactly why he has to go this November.

Texas is one of the biggest battleground states in this election -- and with recent polls showing this race neck and neck, we have a fighting chance at winning this seat and flipping the Senate in November. As a working mom and an Air Force veteran, I know how to stand up and fight for what’s right for working families in Texas and across the country. Here's something you should know about me: When I was a young girl, I dreamt of becoming a military pilot. I achieved my dream, served three tours in Afghanistan, and, after being injured by enemy fire, I received the Purple Heart. After my injuries meant I was no longer able to fly, I took on the bureaucrats in D.C. to open up hundreds of thousands of jobs for women in the military. But in the process, I witnessed just how broken Washington politics are.

I’m going to fight for the values I fought with as a military pilot -- strength, integrity, and courage -- and that Americans need in Congress. John Cornyn has shown time and again that he doesn’t put working families first. He’s part of Mitch McConnell's broken system of partisanship and gridlock -- but together, we can stand up to his corruption and flip this seat for working families.
