WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26, AT 8 P.M. ET/5 P.M. PT

Join us for a first-ever meeting about the vital work that PETA's Global
Compassion Fund supports.

----------------------------------------

Dear Friend,

A rescuer in a devastated Beirut reunites a frightened young dog with the
relieved guardians who hadn't seen her since last week's explosion.

In Manila, a fieldworker returns a beloved cat to her desperately poor family
after providing much-needed veterinary care that they simply could never have
afforded.

In India, a trio of animal-care experts gently lifts an exhausted donkey out of
the deep pit that he'd become trapped in. After his injuries are tended to and
he's offered a few much-appreciated treats, the donkey gratefully wanders back
to his home.

What do these all these rescues have in common? The support of PETA's Global Compassion Fund helped to make them all possible.

This critically important fund allows PETA and our affiliates to partner with
effective local animal protection groups around the world, powering everything
from life-changing spay/neuter programs to the vital work of rescue teams that
help the animal victims of typhoons, earthquakes, and other disasters.

That's why I hope you'll mark Wednesday, August 26, (at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT) on your calendar and plan to attend PETA's first-ever town hall meeting on the lifesaving rescue
and advocacy work supported by the Global Compassion Fund. PETA President Ingrid
Newkirk and I will be joined by Sylvie Bunz of PETA Germany and Ashley Fruno of
PETA Asia for an inside look at the ways organizations in India, Jordan, the
Philippines, Romania, and other countries are making a difference for animals,
thanks to the fund's help.

We encourage you to join us online by logging on to PETA.org/AugustTownHall
[[link removed]] at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on August 26. You'll be able to watch the presentation
through your web browser and submit your questions online. We'll send a reminder
e-mail to you at this address a few minutes before the meeting begins.

I hope you'll join us on August 26 for an inspiring look at the
ways—together—we're making the world a more compassionate place for all beings.

Kind regards,

Lisa Lange
Senior Vice President of Communications
