The Trump administration is proposing a policy in which a data center that relies on gas polluting generators like those in El Paso could begin millions of dollars worth of construction without permits and, more importantly, without the public comment period that these permits require.
On Wednesday, I provided an amendment to prohibit this Trump policy and prevent big corporations like Meta from having access to our natural resources without the public being involved and without there being a process.
Republicans rejected my amendment, yet I will continue my work in Congress to protect our air, water and hold these powerful entities accountable.

I am deeply grateful for the work the Texas Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Coalitions does every day to support survivors, provide critical resources, and stand beside individuals and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
As the front liners supporting survivors every day, I am glad to have heard their stories and learned from their experiences to help ensure Congress understands the needs of survivors and the organizations that serve them.
Meeting with the German Parliamentarian Delegation
As our world grows increasingly complex, America must continue leading alongside our allies. Only together can we ensure peace and stability.
I'm grateful to have met with a delegation of German lawmakers to discuss the future of U.S. foreign policy, our shared democratic values, and the importance of our transatlantic partnership.
