It's that time of year. Kids are finishing exams, teachers are finally exhaling, and parents everywhere are bracing for the report card.

Well, I've got mine, and I wanted to share it with you.

Thanks to this team, we crossed the fundraising finish line in May, hitting our goal with folks like you. Now the biggest nerd in Congress is happy to report that the grades are in:

* Showing up when it counted : A+
* Providing valuable on-the-ground input: A+
* Helping grow our grassroots movement : A+
* Reading this nerd's very long emails : Incomplete (but I appreciate you trying)

I'm kidding. Sort of. The only grade or accolade that truly matters is the one you gave me: your trust. Your grassroots support, especially when the news cycle feels like a pop quiz you didn't study for, means more than I can put in an email.

In my engineering days, I had a professor who said the mark of a great team isn't how they perform when things are easy. It's how they show up when things are hard.
