Expanding Floridian’s access to healthcare is Andrew’s top priority. If elected, Andrew will vote to approve Medicaid expansion which would provide 1.5 million Floridians with healthcare. That’s 25% of Florida's adult population.
Medicaid expansion funds are already set aside as part of our federal budget, meaning our tax dollars already pay for it. All that our state government needs to do is vote to pass it. Yet Tallahassee has blocked Medicaid expansion twice so far, making Florida one of only 12 states that has not yet expanded Medicaid.
Just this month, Missourians approved Medicaid expansion for their state and in June, Oklahomans did the same. Twice now a Medicaid expansion bill has been passed by Florida Senate and twice now that bill has been blocked by the Florida House of Representatives.
Tallahassee needs leadership that cares about its citizens before, during and after tough times. Andrew will push for policies, such as healthcare expansion, that will improve the everyday lives of Floridians.
If healthcare is a priority for you, please support Andrew so he can fight for Medicaid expansion in Tallahassee.
We want to hear from you. Tell us what your priorities for Florida are right now.
