John, if you couldn’t tell, the young girl in the photo is me.

My family has lived in Colorado since before it was a state, and I grew up on a reservation where I witnessed firsthand the deep inequalities that exist beneath the myth of the American Dream.

Growing up on the reservation, many families like mine lived without basic amenities or access to nutritious food, good jobs, or a solid education. No American should have to live that way.

I’m running to become the first woman to represent Colorado in the U.S. Senate so no one growing up in Colorado is taught to believe that financial insecurity, limited opportunity, or inequality are simply facts of life.

The next generation of Coloradans deserve to inherit a future of opportunity, not scarcity. A future where they can afford a home, have access to healthcare, and build the life they deserve.

We’ve proven that when we unite, we can accomplish what they claim can’t be done. This campaign is about us having a real chance to make history and create the world we’ve been promised, not the one where folks like are are being left out.
