John,

Does building a culture of life at the grassroots level influence politics?

This week we had breaking news that for the first time ever a former Planned Parenthood director — our friend Abby Johnson — will speak at the Republican National Convention. Watch this quick video where I discuss what this means for the pro-life movement:

This platform being given to a woman who's had an abortion and a former Planned Parenthood "Employee of the Year" is a great victory for all of you who have prayed, fasted, and stood in the cold and the heat to offer hope where you live.

It is not cliche to say that after nearly 50 years of legal abortion and 60 million babies killed that the pro-life movement is about changing hearts and minds.

We have seen 206 abortion workers do just that during 40 Days for Life campaigns, which is why I believe the pro-life movement is a movement of converts, therefore a movement of hope. Women who have had abortions, men who've paid for abortions, and those who have done abortions have changed their hearts and minds for decades. Their witness shows the mercy of Christ and the fire He lights in those who turn to Him.

How will God use you this fall to save a baby or change a heart?

Be part of the largest 40 Days for Life campaign ever on September 23 by signing up to pray outside your abortion facility at 40daysforlife.com.

May God bless your family,
