It is the honor of my lifetime to accept your nomination for President of the United States.

When I say we are in a battle for the soul of the nation, I mean it. This campaign is about more than winning an election, it's about deciding who we are as a country.

Growing up in Scranton, Pennsylvania, I learned the importance of hard work, treating others with dignity and respect, and leaving no one behind. Those values have guided my entire life. And now, I'm humbled by the responsibility you have entrusted in me to bring these values back to the White House.

Right now we are a country divided, and the world is in disarray. But as my dad always said, "Champ, when you get knocked down, you get back up." And that's what I know we can do as a country -- we can get back up.

But here's the truth: we can only unite the country and win this battle if we work our hearts out every single day between now and November 3rd. And that's what I'm promising to do, my word as a Biden.
