My candidacy was a long shot. We entered the race with just a few months left until the election and had no political experience. I was just a laid-off geologist turned brewpub owner.

I only ever ran for office in the first place because I felt like the concerns of everyday folks simply weren’t being heard. So we took a chance — and you all believed in us.

We campaigned on bringing people together to get things done. And that’s exactly what we did. We provided quality early-childhood education, initiated the most significant police reforms in Denver’s history, and opened one of the first offices of sustainability in the country.

I’ve had the privilege of serving as Colorado’s Governor and U.S. Senator, and I'm immensely proud of the work we've done to make our state and country a better place for all. Together, we’ve invested billions in the fight against climate change, expanded access to affordable health care, and passed the most consequential housing bill in decades.

But there’s still so much more to do, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. President Trump and MAGA Republicans are tearing apart our progress, and our far-right opponent is determined to take us down.
