The first time I played wheelchair basketball for Team USA in the
Paralympics, we lost. Seventh place was devastating.
But I kept pushing. Working out. Honing my craft. Getting better.
The next time I represented Team USA, we won a bronze medal. Then gold
medals in 2016 and 2021.
I’ll be honest: losing sucks.
So when I ran for State House, I did everything I could to win. I crawled
up stairs to talk to voters, pulling my wheelchair behind me.
And I won — twice. (In a district Donald Trump won!)
That’s the type of hard work and focus that helped me become the
Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Iowa. And it’s how we will flip this
open seat in November.
But in order to win, we need to attract donors from all around the country
to fund our operation and invest in this campaign.
Even though we just won the primary, we’re already facing a public FEC
deadline at the end of June. All eyes will be on the report we’re legally
required to file, to determine whether Iowa is a solid investment.
[ [link removed] ]If you’re like me, you hate losing and you’re ready to seize this
once-in-a-generation opportunity to flip Iowa blue and take back the
Senate. So can I count on you to split a donation between my campaign and
Senator Angela Alsobrooks today?

Your donation today may be the difference between us hitting our FEC goal
or falling short. The difference between whether we win or lose.
It could also be the difference between whether Democrats take the Senate
majority next year.

have my back and help us flip Iowa’s open seat blue by splitting a
donation ASAP?

An important update from Team Alsobrooks:
Angela is so thankful for this grassroots team’s support and is eager to
get to work for Marylanders in the Senate. That’s why you’ll be receiving
fewer fundraising emails from us moving forward, in an effort to not clog
up your inbox for the next six years.
Instead, we’d rather send you emails you want to read – like updates on
Angela’s work in the Senate, or rundowns of key issues and news stories
from Washington.
But to make this possible, we’re relying on supporters like you to
consider making a small, monthly recurring contribution of $3 or even $5
to keep our operations running while Angela is busy fighting for Maryland
families.
