Dear,
[ [link removed] ]Photo
Right now, momentum is in our favor to stop Donald Trump from destroying
the US Postal Service. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has agreed to
“suspend” the changes he’s been making.(1)
But we’ve been here before, Dear, when Trump appeared to back
down from the Muslim Ban and separating families at the border. Attention
waned, and we got a new Muslim Ban and there are still kids in cages. And
DeJoy hasn’t committed to reinstall any of the mail sorting machines that
were already removed or restore any of the hours that were cut from
employees.
We need to keep showing up to protect our election from Donald Trump.
On Saturday, August 22, people across the country will head to their local
post offices to show support for the essential workers of the US Postal
Service and demand that DeJoy resign.
So here’s what we need you to do:
[ [link removed] ]First, click here to sign up to visit your local post office on
Saturday, at 11 a.m. to join others in protest or any other time to show
support on your own.
We've made some posters you can find [ [link removed] ]here and [ [link removed] ]here that you can
print off and use at your local protest.
While you’re at the post office, take a selfie or record a video
explaining just how important the post office is to you. Maybe you were
deployed overseas and relied on the mail to write home. Or maybe you
receive prescriptions in the mail. Perhaps you run a small business and
use affordable postal services to send out your sales.
Share your story or photo on social media and tag us, @CourageCA, and
include #SaveThePostOffice. We’re going to amplify these videos and
selfies across the internet!
And finally, if you can’t make it, take just a moment to update your
profile picture for the day with [ [link removed] ]our graphic asking people to join the
fight.
Dear, our democracy is at stake, and we know we can count on
you.

office on Saturday!
Yours in the fight for our democracy,
Jay, along with Angela, Anne, Brian, Caitlin, Deepthi, Gabby, Irene,
