A note regarding the bylaws vote: we are considering a consent agenda format for voting on the bylaws. The FDP amendments will be voted on first in totality as they are required for compliance. After that, the amendments from the BDP Steering/Management and Bylaws committees will be voted on. They will also be voted on in totality, unless it is requested that items are pulled to be voted on individually. For instance, if a voting member objects to the name change from the Jefferson Jackson Day Dinner, (which was actually changed some time ago but is not reflected in the current bylaws) to the Obama Roosevelt Legacy Dinner, they need to request that Article XI be pulled for discussion and a separate vote.
If you know you will be pulling an item, please email [email protected] prior to the meeting so that we can keep the process organized. Thank you, Kim Schnitzius Bylaws Committee Chair |

Join us every Thursday evening in June for "Desserts & Democracy." This is an in-person phonebank in the Broward Democratic Party Plantation Headquarters - where we'll call friendly Democrats and help them re-enroll in Vote-by-Mail. Why We're Calling
Florida’s vote-by-mail rules have changed, and many Broward County Democrats are no longer signed up to get a mail ballot in 2026. These are some of our most reliable voters, and unless we reach them, many could be left behind. Your quick, helpful conversations will make a real difference. Questions? email: [email protected]

🚨📢🚨 SCAM ALERT!!! 🚨📢🚨 Please be aware of fake emails created using information from the BDP website, such as names of the elected BDP officers and Area Leaders, that are then used in scams. This can happen to any organization with leadership and/or members listed online, so this warning is not limited to the BDP. Recently, hacked Facebook accounts of friends of BDP members have also been used for fake sales scams. Please stay vigilant. |
