Alright, back to my story…

I grew up on Andrews Air Force Base. My dad served, and our family believed in duty, honor, and community. Not as words on a wall, but as a code you actually live by.

I went on to play offensive lineman in college. On the line, your job isn't to be the star player — it's to protect the people around you. Block. Hold the line. Make sure nobody gets through.

I didn't know it then, but I was training for everything that came next.

I was working as a Capitol Police Officer on January 6th, 2021, when a violent mob stormed the building to overturn an election and destroy our democracy.

I was terrified, but I didn't run. I stood my ground. I defended this country, because that's what you do when it's your turn to answer the call. You don't think about it. You don't weigh the odds. You just do your job.

That’s me. I'm not a career politician, and I'm not a millionaire. I'm a dad, a kid from a military family, a public servant, and a Marylander who thinks we deserve better.

Now I'm running for Congress — and the other side is terrified.

Hey, this is Former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn, and I’m running for Congress in Maryland’s 5th District.
