There is a viable plan to get us through this pandemic; it's called the HEROES Act and I enthusiastically voted for it when it passed the House in May. But Donald Trump and his allies in the Senate won't vote on or even debate this critical legislation. They have been stalling for three months while families and individuals suffer.

The HEROES Act would:

* Renew vital unemployment benefits that are helping people cover their expenses, including their health insurance costs;
* Extend the eviction moratorium so families can stay in their homes;
* Provide more testing and resources to control the pandemic;
* Bring resources to state and local governments; and
* Provide support for truly small businesses, including women and minority-owned businesses.

While we have been fighting for life-saving support for our communities, the Senate went on recess without addressing the pandemic.

Even worse, instead of bringing pandemic relief to those who need it most, Donald Trump and his administration are trying to sabotage the United States Postal Service.

I'm working hard every day to pass meaningful legislation to help those who need it most and to build a grassroots movement to undo the damage Donald Trump and his allies have done.

I look forward to working with you to move our country forward. It's going to take all of us working together to get through this pandemic.

Thank you for standing with me,

Suzanne
