I’m Sunrise-endorsed candidate for Congress in MA-01, Mayor Alex Morse.

Dear John,

I’m Sunrise-endorsed candidate for Congress in MA-01, Mayor Alex Morse. I remember clearly the gas explosion of 2018 in Merrimack Valley and the devastation it caused. It killed a young teen, left 23 people injured, and leveled 80 homes and businesses. The owner of the faulty gas line, NiSource, was forced out of the state entirely.

But just one day after NiSource came to a settlement with the family of the killed teen, the utility giant co-hosted a high-dollar fundraiser for Richard Neal—my opponent in this election.

NiSource is just one of the many utilities, oil, and gas corporations that have contributed to Neal’s massive corporate war chest. So, it’s not surprising that Neal is the only member of the Massachusetts Congressional delegation to oppose the Green New Deal. With the hands of so many polluters in your pockets, how could you fight for a cleaner environment?

In just 12 days I’m looking to replace him. Can you make a contribution to power our grassroots movement to victory on election day September 1st?

We need a leader who will fight for a safer, cleaner future for our communities, and that means a Green New Deal. Richard Neal has proven that he isn’t that leader.

A Green New Deal just makes sense. Not only will it curb fossil fuel impact on the environment and our communities, it will also create thousands of good jobs throughout the country. When I get to Congress, I’ll start fighting to pass this key legislation on day one.

But I need your help right now to get there. Can you chip in today to support my efforts to make a safer, cleaner future for all of us?

Thanks for your support,

Alex Morse
