Jack, Maria de Jesus Estrada Juarez, a DACA recipient and mother, was
wrongfully deported after attending a green card interview in February. A
federal judge ruled her deportation a "flagrant violation" of DACA, and she has
now safely returned to reunite with her daughter.



Unfortunately, Maria's story is one of hundreds. In recent months, nearly 300
DACA recipients have been detained, and close to 90 have been deported, that we
know of.



DACA recipients who are supposed to be protected from deportation are being
targeted by immigration agents and torn from their families. We have a right to
feel safe in our communities. Every DACA recipient needs safety, protection,
and due process.
