Subject: Today we celebrate. Today we ask for your support.

Dear John,

Today is the National Immigrant Justice Center's (NIJC) 27th Annual Human Rights Awards.

Today, we honor and celebrate the NIJC community. Our courageous clients who persevere despite the obstacles and deliberate cruelties they face. The legal volunteers whose passion for justice and the rule of law translate into tens of thousands of volunteer hours. The community partners who stand shoulder to shoulder with NIJC in this fight. And the NIJC staff who show up and fight every single day.

Today, we're asking you to stand with us once again.

Today, we are launching a virtual paddle raise that will run alongside our live event. By joining in the virtual paddle raise, your gift combined with the generosity of other supporters, will help sustain NIJC's critical programs through this moment and beyond. Every dollar keeps us in the fight. Every gift means another family can stay together.

Participate in this special event with your gift now: https://immigrantjustice.org/DonateHRA

Fighting against indiscriminate arrests, mass detention, and deportations without due process are now part of NIJC’s daily work. The Trump administration’s deliberate cruelty toward immigrants and other targeted groups is funded at the expense of the health and needs of our communities.

As Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote in his August 1963 Letter from Birmingham Jail: "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

Make your gift today: https://immigrantjustice.org/DonateHRA

Today, we celebrate how far we've come. And we commit to how far we'll go together.

Gratefully,

Mary Meg McCarthy
Executive Director, National Immigrant Justice Center

P.S. Your gift is powerful. The virtual paddle raise is open to everyone who believes in fairness, dignity, and due process. Give now: https://immigrantjustice.org/DonateHRA
