Dear John,
Donald Trump’s sham review of mifepristone is back in the news. The review, which RFK Jr. announced in response to a flawed pseudo-study from a group seeking to ban all abortions, was recently cited in a case seeking to reinstate restrictions on mifepristone. [1, 2] In his ruling, the judge stated that “ultimately it is FDA, not this Court, that possesses the expertise to evaluate scientific evidence and make public health judgments” about mifepristone. [3] But while it would be wise to follow the science and keep the bans off safe and effective abortion pills, Trump and RFK Jr. simply do not inspire confidence.
This review is being conducted by the same Trump administration that made baseless medical claims about the so-called dangers of taking Tylenol while pregnant. [4] These attacks on scientifically backed, trusted medications are all part of the Trump administration’s push for the FDA to follow a politically motivated agenda. [5]
Add your name now to support access to mifepristone.
Medication abortion is used in nearly two-thirds of the abortions in the U.S. Restricting this safe and effective option would be a Trump abortion ban. [6, 7] As countless legitimate studies show, medication abortion is safe – end of story. [6]
Mifepristone is safe, and it isn’t going anywhere. Sign the petition now if you agree.
Anti-abortion leaders are putting big pressure on Trump and RFK Jr. The sham review they’ve demanded is unnecessary, is occurring because they don’t like the scientific facts of the past twenty-five years, and is in direct contradiction to the FDA’s own actions, as the FDA just recently approved a new generic form of mifepristone. [8] We must refuse a back-door abortion ban.
Sign your name now to signal to the FDA: Keep Trump and anti-abortion leaders’ paws off medication abortion.
Sincerely,
Kieran Mailman, Reproaction

P.S. Mifepristone is safe and effective – and the science agrees. If you want the FDA to steer clear of the anti-abortion lobby’s whackadoodle junk science, sign the petition now.
