Let me tell you about my friend Joe Kennedy. In 2018, when President Trump gave his first of many divisive and dangerous state of the union addresses, I knew there was one person best equipped to respond to Trump's dark vision of America and to show the progressive, inclusive future the Democrats want to usher in. That person was Joe Kennedy.

Joe Kennedy is a compassionate fighter who works every day to make sure that his district is taken care of. He has been a champion for a variety of progressive issues like universal healthcare, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ rights. Nobody has worked harder in Congress.

We need leaders who are willing to give every inch of themselves to the causes and concerns that unify Democrats. In 2018, when we were fighting to flip the House of Representatives, Joe Kennedy traveled across America and helped Democrats win, from Arizona to Michigan to Pennsylvania. He showed up for his party and the families we fight to represent at the moment we needed him most. As a result, House Democrats have been able to hold the line against Donald Trump and actually pass progressive policy.
