First, we won our primary by just 632 votes. Then, Cook upgraded our chances of winning this race.

And just this morning, POLITICO’s New York Playbook reported on a brand-new DCCC poll showing we're ahead in this race by 2 points:

“Democratic challenger Nancy Goroff could give Rep. Lee Zeldin a run for his money in New York’s 1st Congressional District, according to new polling from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Goroff led Zeldin by 2 points (48-46) in an Aug. 5-10 survey of 400 likely November general election voters in the district. The poll, which has a margin of error of ±4.9 percentage points, also showed Vice President Biden ahead of President Trump by 6 points (51-45).”

It's because of YOU that we're now ahead in this race. I cannot thank you enough for all you've done.

But I can guarantee you that the GOP will spend millions more to defend this seat -- and do everything they can to deny reality, threaten mail-in voting, and depress turnout in an attempt to re-elect my opponent, the swamp creature and indefatigable Trump ally Lee Zeldin.

And right now we're $28,250 short of tomorrow's fundraising goal of $1,000,000 raised since our primary victory.

If we fall short now, Zeldin will retake the lead, and we'll be stuck with another two years of Trump’s congressman, not ours.

That's why I'm reaching out to you: please, give what you can now to stop that from happening: [link removed]

Thank you immensely, for all that you're doing. You’re the reason we're here today.

With gratitude,
Nancy
