Friend – I wanted to follow up with you to make sure you saw this update about the U.S. Postal Service.

Following the massive public outcry over Donald Trump's efforts to starve the USPS of funds and block vote-by-mail, the newly appointed Postmaster General said that any cuts would be suspended until after the election – but let's examine the facts. Postal delays, cutbacks, and downsizing have already happened. Mail-sorters have been dismantled. Blue USPS post boxes have been removed or bolted shut. This is why the Postmaster General – a Trump loyalist, contributor and high dollar "logistics investor" with direct conflicts of interest – has absolutely no credibility.

The American people deserve more than words. They deserve action.

Mitch McConnell must call the Senate back from August recess to save the USPS before it's too late. But until he does, we must keep speaking out – for the sake of mail-in ballots, mailed medicine, veterans' checks, small business deliveries, and all the daily goods that COVID has forced many Americans to order and wait to receive by mail.

We still need 500 more signatures on my petition demanding Trump stop his attacks on the USPS, but I don't see your name yet. That's why – with our very democracy on the line – I'm counting on you to speak out alongside me right now:

Click here to sign my petition demanding that Donald Trump immediately end his dangerous attacks on the U.S. Postal Service. Silence is not an option in the face of this President's clear attempt to sabotage the general election.
