Jack, today is the last day.


Midnight tonight is the deadline. Not a soft one—the kind where the month
closes, the numbers lock, and whatever gap is left is the gap we carry into the
next stretch.
We're not there yet.


Daily Kos doesn't have a safety net for months that end short. No corporate
parent, no billionaire backstop, no line of credit to smooth it over. When the
month ends in the red, it's real and it's immediate.


I'd rather be writing to tell you we made it. I'm writing this instead
because we haven't, and today is the only day left to change that.
