Friend,

While we weren't looking, the U.S. Postal Service faced unprecedented attack from partisan politicians.

During a global pandemic when so many Minnesotans and Americans are depending on their mail carriers more than ever to deliver medications, paychecks, packages, election ballots, and more, workers have been denied overtime and, in some cases, have been unfairly fired.

The U.S. Postal Service is a critical American institution -- it's never been a partisan issue. Yet, every single day, the attacks on it from President Trump and his administration are getting worse. The operational issues are real, and we have to do something.

I won't stop until the post office gets the resources it needs. Add your name to join me in support of the U.S. Postal Service.

Last week's primary election showed us how the Postal Service is faring and how mail-in ballots might work this November -- in short, it wasn't pretty.

The Washington Post profiled a public housing complex in Minneapolis that had stopped receiving mail for more than a week, and another housing complex that had also stopped receiving mail ahead of last Tuesday's primary.

Residents went without mail for nine days. Those who wanted to vote absentee were left with an impossible choice: Trust their ballot to a mail system that was shaky at best, or risk their health to vote in person.

This November, unless something changes, Americans everywhere -- and these same Minnesotans -- will have to make that same choice.

Nothing will change unless we speak up: Add your name to support the U.S. Postal Service in this time of crisis right now.

Thank you,

Dean Phillips
