Democracy won't be shut down

We will not let Boris Johnson get away with it - back the PEOPLE'S PARLIAMENT

I watched this week's events unfold and I was horrified. Brexit has caused huge damage to so many things we all care about - and now it's been used to actually shut down our democracy.

I thought hard about what to do in response. And I realised it was actually simple - we just set up a replacement parliament and let our MPs carry on!

That's why Best for Britain organised an open letter and gathered over 50 MPs from all parties to sign it. We have MPs ready to take part. We just need to fund for the venue - will you help, John?

Our letter has been signed by Labour MP David Lammy, the current and former Lib Dem leaders Jo Swinson and Sir Vince Cable, the Green party MP Caroline Lucas and Conservative MPs Antoinette Sandbach and Guto Bebb, and Independent Heidi Allen.

John, we have over 50 MPs already on board. That means we have to find and pay for a big enough venue in central Westminster. That's where you come in.

I think it's important the People's Parliament is funded by THE PEOPLE.

Our elected representatives must be able to keep working for us. They have to keep debating the vital issues for our nation. And they need to keep holding this government to account.

Boris Johnson has gone rogue. He is clearly willing to do anything - the unthinkable - to force a terrifying no deal Brexit on all of us.
