Ask them to support legislation to save the USPS
It's time we put an end to attempts to undermine trusted institutions in our democracy.
Speaker Pelosi suspended the House's recess so they can vote this weekend on legislation that would help the U.S. Postal Service amidst the ongoing conservative sabotage attempts. This bill includes $25 billion in emergency funding and a freeze of the recent changes made by President Trump's new postmaster general.
But rubber stamp representatives, who are in power thanks to their gerrymandered districts, fear crossing President Trump -- even when he's callously and recklessly attacking a cherished institution for his own political gain. They need to hear from us.
Contact your Representative in Congress! Tell them to vote yes to pass legislation that will protect the USPS.
During the last election before the redistricting process, conservatives used the Citizens United decision to flood the 2010 election with dark money, in turn packing state legislatures with map manipulators.
This time around, they've turned to attacking vote-by-mail in an attempt to suppress votes during a public health crisis to lock the American people out of the political process -- all to avoid accountability from the people they're supposed to serve.
But if we work together and protect the USPS, voters will have the chance to flip the script by electing fair map advocates.
