John,
If he wins this year’s elections, Abdul El-Sayed will be the most progressive person in the U.S. Senate.
He cancelled $700 million in medical debt for 300,000 Michiganders, and is pushing to abolish medical debt nationwide.
He literally wrote the book on Medicare for All, and he’s the only one in his race who supports this essential legislation.
His opponents in this summer’s primary election do not support guaranteed healthcare for all Americans; instead they’ve taken money from private health insurance corporations.
In one of the most competitive electoral races in the country, Abdul is the only candidate who’s calling to abolish ICE, the only one who’s never taken corporate PAC money, and the only one aligned with the majority of voters who want to end U.S. military aid to Israel.
Please help send Abdul El-Sayed to the U.S. Senate, where he’ll be a fierce ally in the fight to end poverty, end wars, and end corporate interference in politics. Can you split a donation between my and Abdul’s campaigns today?
Abdul has been a card-carrying member of multiple unions, and he and I were both arrested while protesting with fast food workers to raise wages.
As a public health official, Abdul has held corporate polluters accountable, removed lead from Detroit’s elementary schools, secured free glasses for tens of thousands of kids, and made life-saving Narcan universally accessible.
And if elected, Abdul would be the first Arab American and first Muslim to serve as a U.S. Senator.
This matters right now, as policymakers and people with platforms are spouting increasingly unhinged anti-Muslim and anti-Arab hate.
Republicans recently held another anti-Muslim hearing in Congress, and one of Trump’s advisors responded to the shooting at San Diego’s Islamic Cultural Center by calling to deport all Muslim Americans.
The gunmen who targeted that mosque had written down their white supremacist, anti-Jewish, and anti-Muslim views. Antisemitism and Islamophobia are connected, and our communities are safer in solidarity.
Abdul and I are not afraid to take on racist bigots. We’re both working toward freedom and safety for all people, across faiths and ethnicities.
We need more lawmakers like Abdul who know that our liberation is intertwined, and who see everyone as a human being who deserves dignity and fundamental human rights.
Can you help create the world we deserve by sending Abdul El-Sayed to the U.S. Senate? Please split a $10 donation between our campaigns today.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately, split evenly between Rashida Tlaib & Abdul El-Sayed
Thank you for continuing to build the bench of progressive Democrats in office.
Together we’ll keep fighting for transformative changes that help people thrive.
We’ll keep fighting for a government that works for the people, not billionaires or corporations. And we’ll keep showing that people power can overcome big money in politics.
With you in the fight for better,
Rashida
