"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love."
– Galatians 5:13
South Asia
Continue to pray for the 518 people freed last week from bonded labor at three connected brick kilns. Everyone has now returned home, where local authorities, IJM and our partners will help them heal and recover. Pray especially for the administrative processes with a rescue this large: processing a Release Certificate for each survivor, providing rehabilitation funding from the government and gathering contact details for the future legal case.
Africa & Europe
Pray for God’s continued healing for the family of a young woman in Kenya, who was killed after resisting a man’s advances. Her case has now ended with a 20-year sentence for the offender. Praise God that after many delays the court delivered accountability and honored her life with a clear verdict. Ask God to comfort her grieving mother, strengthen her sister who now cares for her little boy and protect her son as he grows.
Latin America
Pray for the Lima chapter of the survivor network Free to Serve as they prepare to launch their advocacy campaign and continue building confidence among women who have endured deep hardship. Ask God to bless their partnership with the district mayor who welcomed them into accessible municipal space and encouraged them. May the Lord guide these survivors as they speak publicly, seek collaboration and work for safety and dignity in their communities.
Asia Pacific
Pray for Philippine lawmakers as they consider amendments to Republic Act 11930, the law that protects children from online sexual abuse and exploitation. Ask God to grant wisdom and integrity as leaders review provisions that would strengthen accountability for offenders and require safer online practices. May each decision reflect courage and a deep commitment to safeguarding the dignity of every child.
IJM Global Office & Partners
The IJM global office is located in the United States. IJM has Partner Offices in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea, Switzerland, Singapore, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Pray for the justice advocates who will gather in Washington, D.C., for the 2026 Advocacy Summit June 1–2. Ask God to equip first-time participants and seasoned leaders alike as they train together and then meet with elected officials to urge stronger protections for children online. May every conversation on Capitol Hill move leaders toward wise action that keeps vulnerable children safe.
The updates we share on survivors or their cases can become sensitive over time. To respect and protect them, please refrain from posting these prayer requests online.
