It is a special honor to be joining New Orleans native Albert Woodfox, a founding member of the Louisiana Stop Solitary Coalition and author of a powerful memoir: Solitary: Unbroken by Four Decades in Solitary Confinement. Albert spent more than 43 years in solitary confinement in Louisiana and became known as one of the "Angola 3" before he was finally freed in 2016. He visited the NRCAT office in Washington, DC shortly after his release. Sincerely, Rev. Ron Stief Executive Director |
