** Portland hip-hop artist and Hype Queen Karma Rivera is kicking off Labor Day Weekend at Portland’s Best Food Cart to support local activist Teressa Raiford in her bid for a Mayoral seat in the 2020 Portland Primaries!

12pm to 3pm
Kee's #Loaded Kitchen
3625 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97212
Kiauna Nelson, local philanthropist and business owner, is hosting this event to not only elevate voter awareness that a black woman is running for office, but that she is also qualified and committed to serving Portlanders.
“Kiauna should know more than anyone what Portlanders need in a leader to move the city forward.” - Teressa Raiford, Kee's Loaded Kitchen ([link removed]) (recently voted Best Portland Food Cart)
Recently feeding thousands of intercity families and giving away nearly 400 pairs of Adidas shoes and school supplies, it’s safe to say Kiauna has a true perspective and connection with Portland. And she believes Teressa Raiford is who we deserve.
Kiauna is not only a native of Portland, but has become one of the many backbones in the city. Catering to a diverse background of people and industries with her #Loaded Kitchen food truck, the entrepreneur can attest to knowing the issues of the community extremely well. If you've yet to experience this unique vendor, come ready to indulge tomorrow afternoon. We are very grateful for Kee's support in showcasing the #Loaded challenge to encourage Portlanders to learn more about their rights as voters and our campaign.
This Saturday, August 31st, Portlanders are being issued this challenge; ([link removed])

Karma Rivera ([link removed]) met Teressa prior to hosting a showcase during the Upstanders Festival in 2017. As part of an intervention showcase produced by Raiford and The Museum of Social Impact in partnership with the Portland Art Museum, the festival focused on grassroots organizing, community activism and social justice movements. Karma Rivera will be headlining tomorrow's event at 1pm.

In addition to other event festivities, we will be hosting speakers from Teressa’s Mayoral Campaign Committee. We encourage you to listen in as they speak on individualistic challenges and successes of the last 12 months. There will also be a feedback report from surveys taken over the summer that focused on answering the question “What Matters to Portlanders?” ([link removed])
We will have voter registration and volunteer sign ups, tons of Raiford 2020 stickers and lots of information on future organizing. Sign up to canvass with us as we promote the #LoadedChallenge!
