It's official!  Vice President Joe Biden has chosen Senator Kamala Harris of California as his running mate this fall!  Senator Harris brings to the table tremendous depth of experience as DA in San Francisco, as Attorney General of California and as a US Senator from California.  She has fought for the expansion of health care, the decriminalization of marijuana, pathways to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, a ban on assault weapons and progressive tax legislation.   If elected she will be not only the first female Vice President, but the first African-American and South Asian elected to the position as well.  She brings tremendous intelligence and commitment to social and economic justice to the ticket.
