I couldn't be more excited about former Vice President Joe Biden's choice of Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate – and to watch as Kamala made history last night as the first-ever woman of color to accept the nomination as our party's vice presidential nominee.

This milestone is long overdue, and it couldn't have come at a more critical moment in our country. As we continue to see protests against systemic racism and police brutality, Kamala's nomination sends a resounding and important message: America can and will be made stronger by our diversity.

I know Kamala will fight hard for the issues that matter most because she's done just that over the course of her entire career. She has consistently stood up for American's health care and the Affordable Care Act, fought for a safer planet, and worked to build an economy in our country that works for everyone.

I've been proud to serve beside Kamala in Congress, and I'll be even prouder to cast my vote for her and Joe in November. Until then, I pledge to do everything I can to deliver a big win for the Biden/Harris ticket in Pennsylvania – and that includes protecting this seat and our Democratic House majority so we can get to work together come January.

But right now, the GOP is pouring millions into Southeast PA to flip this critical battleground district, and I can't fight back without your grassroots support. That's why I'm personally asking: Will you donate now to make sure our campaign has the resources to keep this critical seat and the House blue?
