Yesterday was jam packed with great events, panels and speeches at Day Two of the Democratic National Convention. The DNC Trans Delegation awarded the late Barbara "Babs" Siperstein, a groundbreaking LGBTQ activist, veteran, and small business owner, the Jane Fee award in recognition of her lifetime of advocacy and leadership for transgender rights in the state of New Jersey and the Democratic Party. Yesterday, New Jersey's delegates gathered in Jersey City to attend a special opening night reception to celebrate the start of the 2020 Convention. 

 

 

 

Each morning of the Convention, our delegates gather virtually via Zoom to hear from members of the New Jersey congressional delegation, as well as other special guests.

Governor Murphy will be speaking tonight at the Pennsylvania Democrats Watch Party starting at 8:15pm. He will be joined by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, Comedian and Activist Kal Penn and Actress and Producer Jennifer Garner at the event to discuss the importance of winning the Keystone State for the Biden-Harris ticket. 

 

Tonight's Convention theme is "A More Perfect Union." 

Tonight’s lineup of speakers include Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Governor Tony Evers, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, Vice Presidential Nominee Senator Kamala Harris and Former President Barack Obama.
