Last week, I sent all of you our August Priorities Survey with a few questions on the issues you're most concerned about, how the COVID-19 pandemic is continuing to impact you, and some questions on the state of our race.

I'm so grateful for those of you who took the time to fill it out. It's so important to me that we set our agenda together, which means getting input from as many supporters as possible.

Frankly, the response was overwhelming. Like me, most of you are concerned about health care, the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump's intentional sabotage of the United States Postal Service, and protecting voting rights through November.

But what struck me the most were your stories on how the pandemic is continuing to impact you. Many of you are simply tired of the dysfunction coming out of Washington or recently lost a job. Some of you are worried about making rent next month.


No matter the response, it was clear that those of us being represented by Roger Williams in TX-25 aren't being heard. That's why I’m running to serve and work for all of you — but first, we need to win. Will you chip in $5 or more to make sure we can keep pace with our $250,000 fundraising August goal? >> [[link removed]]


Here are three stories that really stuck with me:

I live in fear of going to work, knowing that today could be the day I am exposed to COVID-19 without my knowledge. But I continue to go to work in these perilous conditions because otherwise, I would fall behind on my student loan payments, on which temporary deferment ends next month.

My anxiety is through the roof. I'm constantly worried about my parents and high-risk friends who, like myself and so many others, continue to have to risk exposure to COVID-19 to try and stay afloat. I've been lucky enough to hold onto my job thus far, but I’m very unsure how long we can continue to weather this downturn. And now this attack on the USPS is compounding this further, as the small business I work for relies heavily on their service.

It continues to wear one down — especially how some in Washington like Roger Williams do not react to the suffering of Americans.

It's tough hearing from people who feel counted out by the elected officials tasked with representing them. But there's so much more that makes me hopeful.

People are angry, and harnessing that anger into action. We're organizing from the city to the country. Hundreds of volunteers are talking to voters on the phone and getting people excited about this race.

We've been counted out, written off, and asked how someone like me — born into poverty, with no powerful political connections — can unseat a multi-millionaire like Roger Williams.

And yet, this race is within the margin of error. I have a pretty good feeling we're going to show them in November — I just need your support to get there. Chip in $5 or more to our campaign today so I can fight for you — not corporate interests — in Congress. >>[[link removed]]
