Scandal-plagued Ken Paxton just defeated incumbent GOP Sen. John Cornyn to become the Republican nominee for Senate in Texas.

Paxton is so toxic that even Republicans admit they are in trouble. Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) told CNN that “To call Paxton ethically challenged is to call Jeffrey Dahmer suffering from an eating disorder.”

But that’s not the only reason Texas is in play. In states like Texas and Colorado, independent and Latino voters are rejecting MAGA in eye-popping numbers and are swinging elections in red states and districts.

If Texas can flip blue in November, just imagine what could be in store for blue Colorado if Democrats commit the resources to win:

• Flipping the tossup CO-08 district that has a large Latino population
• Defeating GOP Rep. Jeff Crank, a vulnerable incumbent who is responsible for the gutting loss of thousands of jobs after Trump relocated Space Force HQ (CO-05)
• Ending the reign of terror of “ultra MAGA” Lauren Boebert, who is staring down the most well-funded Dem challenger of her career

The energy and momentum are on our side this November.
